What you will learn:

• Inviting regular or super participants in your community to be moderators can help you as the manager get voice from the team and lessen the burden on tasks.
• Members of your community feel compelled to volunteer once they see the value of their help and when they like the community they are in.
• You may assign multiple community members as moderators of your community.
• User management is important to moderate communities.

Carl Spindler is the founder of Lidingönaprapatarna PT Studio, and so by day he is a busy business owner, Personal Trainer and Naprapath. In his free time he is an avid World of Warcraft player, to the extent that he is what we call a Superuser. He not only plays the game, but he has always been very active in engaging others within the community. This prompted him to be asked to become part of the moderation team. 

In this session we hear his perspective on what it means to be an active volunteer and part of the leadership team. We find out what motivates volunteers to invest so much of their time doing this and why these Superusers are so important to creating the culture and engagement that means our communities both thrive and grow.
