Penny Power is a Community Creator and Founder of the first online community for business owners, created in 1998, 4 years before Linkedin and 6 years before Facebook. Penny came up with the idea of creating a community that would bond business owners through friendship. She based this on a deep belief in the basic human needs we all have to belong and to have a sense of self esteem that friendship can provide. 

This community, Ecademy, grew to 650,000 members. 

Today, Penny has moved on and now believes in small, intimate, paid communities, knowing that the ‘giants of technology and digital’ have created a world of fake news, distrust and loneliness
